Year 6 braved the most inclement weather of the week, but continued with gusto despite strong winds and driving…

Year 6 braved the most inclement weather of the week, but continued with gusto despite strong winds and driving rain. They ran, they steered and they cheered supporting each other through every challenge. Hurdles and sack races gave way to the egg and spoon race, followed by sprints and relays. The winning class was 6L, but it was a close-run competition all the way.

Year 5 fought fiercely, the competition between classes was intense, especially between the teachers running their sprint-race!

Year 3 shouted and cheered their team mates on all the way..scores were so close right up to the last race, the whole-class relay, with 3W winning and pipping other classes at the post.

Year 2 enjoyed a great competition. 2W just got ahead on points with the relay race at the end and triumphed overall.

Year 1 enjoyed sunshine and blue skies along throughout. 1W won, beating 1LE by only one point!

Reception had a splendid time learning to race with bean-bags on their heads and then jumping to the finish line in sacks. Everyone participated in the relay race and a very exhausted year group clapped and cheered one another to end the day.

Unfortunately Year 4 were unable to complete their Sports Day this week due to the unrelenting rain at the outset of the week, but hope to undertake this event early in June.
