The boys medley relay team travelled up to Sheffield on Friday evening ready for the English Schools’ Primary Team Championships on Saturday afternoon, an event which only the 24 fastest schools in the country in each event had qualified for. The event was held at the impressive Ponds Forge Centre, the home of British swimming, and Bishop Road were one of only 3 state primary schools to qualify for the boys medley finals, with the other 21 schools all being fee-paying and most having their own pools. A fantastic effort by the boys saw them shave 4 seconds off their previous best time as a team and end up a highly credible 19th in the country. We are hugely proud of them for their effort, attitude and skill as well as the impeccable way in which they represented the school.
