As part of our whole school Dendrology project, all classes will be enjoying a trip to Westonbirt Arboretum this term. Here are a couple of pictures from Year 6 who were the first children to visit earlier this week! 

The children spent the day exploring trees from all around the globe, walked along the Tree Top Walkway and had fun creating tree sculptures and doing observational drawings. It has been great to see the start of the autumn colours coming through. 

Some classes have had better weather than others, so we highly recommend a good pair of shoes and a waterproof!  

We hope that this trip will whet the children’s appetite and inflame their curiosity to explore this topic later this academic year.
