Following on from successful qualification from the South West divisional heats, 10 children from the Bishop Road Swimming Squad were selected to represent the school at the prestigious English Schools’ Swimming Association Primary Team Championships.  In preparation, both the girls’ and boys’ teams attended sessions to practise their skills – and it paid off! Both teams smashed the times from the divisional heats and competed well against the top 24 schools from across England. The competitive highlight of the afternoon was the boys’ freestyle team qualifying and taking part in the B final where they finished 6th. It was an amazing experience for all the children to attend this type of national event and all had a great time racing, supporting each other and plenty of time to enjoy themselves in the warm up/cool down pool as well!
