The library has been full of avid readers so far this school year as Year 2 have been welcomed…

The library has been full of avid readers so far this school year as Year 2 have been welcomed into the library for the first time and Years 3-6 were welcomed back. Miss Robson has been delighted to see so many children sharing their favourite books, discovering new things to read and learning more about how the library works this term. Year 2 have been finding their way around the library, learning the responsibility of looking after and returning their books, and every year group has discussed how lucky we are to have such a wonderful and varied selection of books to borrow, and how we take care of them. Over 2000 books have been borrowed so far, let’s see how many we can borrow before Christmas…!
Years 3 and 4 have begun to enjoy weekly Book Swap Breaks, whilst Years 5 and 6 visit for Library Lunch Clubs. We have also chosen this year’s successful candidates for the role of Year 6 Student Librarians, after a Bishop Road record number of applicants. More information on Student Librarians coming soon.
Have a look through the photos to see who has been spotted reading in the library so far!
