Held over 7 days, the whole school celebrated the joy of reading with a series of author focused and story telling events.

Our Reading Festival commenced with “bedtime stories” for the younger children, who returned in the early evening in their pyjamas, clutching blankets, cushions and most importantly, cuddly toys, ready to have a very special story time. They enjoyed stories read to them by different teachers and had the opportunity to share books in small groups with a cup of hot chocolate.

Over the 7 days, we welcomed several authors to the school to deliver special reading events to the children. Our authors this year included Alexa Brown, Aisling Fowler, Fleur Hitchcock, Gwen Millward and Sarah Coyle.

The finale to our festival was our whole-school dress-up day – teachers included..!
