A new school year begins at Bishop Road, as we welcomed back both students and staff from a wonderful summer break. The heart of the school – the School Library – is already up and running, with Year 2’s having their very first library visit! We have lots of new books this year, including many inspiring new poetry anthologies. As well as new books, the library displays have had a refresh – with one board helping children to find a high-quality text with Mrs Hatcher’s ‘Recommended Reads’ and another board celebrating all that we love about our library! Teachers have shared what they love most about this fantastic space and children are encouraged to fill in their own ‘Library Hearts’ to be added to the display!
