Our Year 1 children were lucky enough to have a visitor from the Dogs Trust yesterday. Our expert led an assembly and then followed up with workshops with each class showing children what they need to know to how to interact with dogs safely. The children role-played through a series of scenarios, and learned how to behave around dogs in lots of different situations such as, walking in the park or having a party at home. Through this they learned how dogs may react and so how we should behave to keep both dogs and humans, happy and safe.
