At this time of year, Jewish families around the world are celebrating Hanukkah. In Year 5, we were very lucky to have a Millie come to talk to us about the tradition of lighting the menorah each night. We learnt that some families share delicious oily foods like doughnuts and latkes at Hanukkah to remind them about the oil that kept the eternal flame burning in the Synagogue.
