ICT across the school
ICT across the school
At Bishop Road, children use a range of ICT in their learning from laptops, to robots.
Have a look at the work Reception and Year 3 have been doing this term.
Reception
As part of their ICT topic 'Modelling' and their work on traditional tales, Reception learnt how to move objects across the screen. They dragged pictures from 'The Three Little Pigs' into a sequence and then used this to retell the story.

"I like the pig with the bricks and it was fun doing the laptops"
"I like doing the clicking and putting the picture of the wolf
on the chimney"
"I'm learning about what happens next, like when the wolf tries to go down the chimney"

Year 3
Year 3 linked their ICT topic 'paint' to their work in art. They studied the artist Kandinsky in Art and used different techniques to produce his work such as sketching, paper mache and painting. In ICT, the children first searched for a Kandinsky image using the internet. Then, they used copy and
paste to insert it into a paint program, before using the tools in the software to re-create their favourite Kandinsky piece.
