Viking Day on Friday 17th May - Children are invited to wear their best Viking outfit! Ingredient lists will be sent out soon.
P.E. is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please ensure children bring in their P.E. kit so they can take part fully.
Homework
Viking Day on Friday 17th May. For homework children need to research what the Vikings wore and can start preparing their costumes.

Shelley is our class pet. She is an African land snail who gets to spend the weekend with the 'Star of the Week'. She is one year old and hopefully fully grown!

We have been learning about the meaning of Shrove Tuesday and practised flipping pancakes.
In History we have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons and where they settled in Britain. We investigated the kinds of places they would build their villages and what they would need for building materials. We then built our own mini Anglo-Saxon villages. See if you can spot the churches, hall houses, one room huts, rivers and forests...

The spelling test is every Monday. Please practise these at home too.
How can I help my child at home?
Listening to your child read aloud and asking them questions about what they have just read.
Working through spellings together, maybe using the 'Look, Cover, Say, Write, Check' method.
Practise 3, 4 and 5 times tables.
