Important Information
Class 5D is taught by Miss Duffin.
Year 5 has P.E. on Thursday afternoons.
Spelling tests will be on Monday afternoons, on the previous week's spellings.
Homework: The children are beginning to prepare for their exciting summer performance: Oliver! Some audition parts have been handed out and the learning of lines and song words will be important homework over the next few weeks.
Year 5 had a fantastic Victorian classroom experience as part of their Victorian day at school. They really entered into the spirit, learning about pounds, shillings and pence and having a go at using an old-fashioned ink pen:
For our Charity Sale children in Year 5 sewed felt lavender hearts, made Victorian Cards, baked banoffee pies and planted marigolds. As a class we raised £38! Well done to everyone who contributed.
On Tudor day the children baked Tudor biscuits:

The Department for Education has introduced a new test in Year 6 to make sure that when children leave primary school they are confident in grammar, punctuation and spelling.
