Prospectus : SEN and Disabilities

Bishop Road Primary School Logo

We provide a fully inclusive education for all the children and aim to identify any child's special educational needs as early as possible so that measures can be put into place to meet those needs.

Our full time equivalent SENCo teachers: Mrs Gannon and Mrs Daniels can often be found in our SEN resource base - The Den!

Both highly experienced and able teachers work with individuals, groups and teachers to support children's development and achievement.  The SENCos meet frequently within the local network of schools and promote the involvement of external agencies to meet the needs of the children at Bishop Road.

Mrs Daniels and Mrs Gannon use the school's outstanding monitoring and tracking system to target individual needs and to assess progress as they work through targeted interventions.

Disabled access to the school is available through the main entrance to every building.  We make every effort to work with families to meet the needs of all children, parents and carers. If you have any specific queries or concerns please speak with your child's class teacher or the school office in the first instance who will be able to help.
