Hay FestivalAlthough we can’t attend the festival in person this year, there is an abundance of fantastic videos and other activities to inspire us in our reading and writing.

RWA competition:

We have the exciting opportunity to enter a competition showcasing all of the Art and Design skills you have.

At a time when we all find ourselves separated suddenly from the outside world, our own neighbourhoods and our communities, this competition allows children a creative outlet to set their imagination free.

At this extraordinary time, our desire to engage with our environment has become stranger than ever. This competition is an opportunity to rethink our surroundings that we often take for granted, our streets and the buildings around us. We can re-imagine bold, new solutions that inspire new ways of living together.

There are two separate competitions we can take part in;

 Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3.

5-8 years: Show your artistic skills and creativity in the form of 3D models, drawings, and any other formats you can think of! The important thing is that you really think about your surroundings and how you can make them better.

Years 4,5 and 6.

Explore and creatively re-make the world around you! This is an opportunity to re-imagine your local community and use your imagination to design changes to your environment to make a better place to live in.

Head to the following website, https://www.seewhatisee.me/ and select the appropriate competition, download the design brief and get creating!
