A craze of comic reading has swept across Bishop Road this term with the introduction of the Phoenix Weekly Story comic and the Hilda comic series by Luke Pearson to the library. Along with our collection of Horrible Histories comics, and classics such as Tin Tin and Asterix among others, comics are a great source of entertainment as well as a brilliant gateway between picture books and chapter books.
Comics and graphic novels are some of the most popular books in the library (Asterix in Belgium and Tin Tin in America have been borrowed over 60 times!) and we would be extremely grateful for any donations you can spare for the library.
